About SatPicker & our methodology

SatPicker is an independent website of free tools for people who own, or are about to buy, a Starlink kit in the United States: a live satellite map, a Starlink Mini battery and solar calculator, a true cost calculator, a used-kit checklist and a dated plan comparison. It is published by Pearl Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (filing No. 2026-002043540).

Where our numbers come from

Hardware specs

Power draw, input voltage, weight, ingress rating and Wi-Fi details come from Starlink's official specification sheets. When a figure is reported by third parties rather than published by Starlink, we say so next to it.

Prices

Every Starlink price on the site lives in a single data file with a check date. Each tool and page shows that date next to the numbers (last check: October 26, 2026). When Starlink changes a price, we update that file and every calculator follows. Starlink can show different prices per address, so your Starlink checkout is always the final word.

Satellite positions

The live map loads the public orbital elements (TLE data) that CelesTrak publishes for the Starlink constellation. Your browser computes each satellite's position with the standard SGP4 propagation model, many times per second. The orbital data is refreshed every few hours; if CelesTrak is temporarily unavailable, the map falls back to a recent snapshot of the same data.

What we don't do

• We don't sell Starlink service or hardware, and we are not a Starlink reseller.
• We don't invent reviews, testimonials or ratings.
• We don't claim hands-on tests we haven't run. Estimates are labeled as estimates, with the assumptions shown.
• We don't let affiliate relationships change a calculation or a recommendation. See our affiliate disclosure.
